VF Pro 3.0

Analog Video Capture
With VFPro 3.0 multiple hours of video can be stored for review, image
creation, sharing and archiving. Once digitized, your source videotape can
also be stored, safe from further degradation and harm. VFPro fully supports
a wide range of award winning, professional quality Blackmagic video input
cards. For users of analog video, these cards offer the highest quality, full
frame rate uncompressed digital video capture available. Through SDI,
S-Video, DV, composite or component inputs — PAL and NTSC.
Digital Video Import & Transcoding
Users can import and easily work with a wide range of file types with VFPro
3.0 including formats like .AVI .MOV .WMF and .ASF, streaming video formats
and cell phone movies such as 3G Mobile among many others.
Digital Video and Audio Screen Capture
For greater ease of use, through seamless integration into the application,
users can easily capture video data directly from proprietary DVR movies as
they play on screen. The movie is captured and stored in an uncompressed,
easy to work with, format. Problems that plague other screen capture programs
– such as dealing with proprietary movies that result in "black
screen", players that write meta-data into a separate screen buffers,
and renegade DVR players that take over the entire screen – are solved. All
timing information is faithfully recorded so that the resulting movie is an
accurate representation of the original.
Quick Scan & Search
An innovative video user interface - utilizing a traditional media player and
a quick-scan panel showing all the frames of video - allows you to quickly
review and mark areas of interest in a long video sequence, helping you find
the images you need. Users can quickly inspect details areas of images and
movies by zooming and dragging.
Demultiplexing
There is no better solution for demultiplexing in the market today. Our
system was designed from the user perspective, with a deep understanding of
the limitations other systems faced. Law Enforcement struggled with
multiplexed video – noisy, jumpy, panning cameras etc. VFPro was developed
using sophisticated image processing algorithms served up in a smart user
interface to enable it to separate an unlimited number of cameras from
multiplexed video in a snap. The system requires no specialized hardware or
input from the user – and works when (and where, as a mobile unit) you need
it – and fast.
Improved Image Filtering for Stills
New filters allow VFPro 3.0 to create clearer imagery, with less noise and
fewer artifacts. So image problems like those captured from poorly exposed
images or those with artifacts are cleared up instantly.
Rather than overburden the user with a
multitude of filters that may have very little effect on the quality of their
resulting image, we worked with law enforcement to choose the most effective,
widely used, and straightforward set of filters for their needs.
Super-Resolution, De-Interlacing, Field
Swap, Crop, Zoom, Speed Change, Sharpen, Blur, Histogram Equalization, Levels
Adjustment, Color and BW Conversion.
The super-resolution filter provides
results that are significantly clearer and more complete than the majority of
systems available, which use simple frame averaging techniques.
Video Filtering
Movies too dark or shaky? Need to highlight a suspect? VFPro 3.0 enables
users to take advantage of the same high quality image filters over an entire
movie, helping improve security and surveillance video.
Shaky video – say, from a moving vehicle
or with a hand held camera – can be stablized for better and easier analysis
and presentation. Adjust the contrast, brightness, levels, sharpness, color
ofmovies or track an object to blur them out or highlight them for
presentation.
Editing
Users now have a very simple and very fast set of editing tools, to trim,
crop, and combine video clips. A tool to seamlessly combine stills and video
for a high level presentation. The editing system is designed with a simple
cut and paste model, which provides results that can be created rapidly and
reviewed instantly. So, unlike with many time-line based editing systems that
require a rendering process, you won't have substantial delays in seeing the
results after changing processing parameters - a real problem, as delays
become more significant as the length of video to be processed increases.
Digital Video Conversion and Export
VFPro 3.0 exports digital movie files to a variety of industry standard
formats and compression types. Users can create .MOV and .AVI files with
movie data stored in a wide variety of codec types including uncompressed,
DV, MPEG and MJPEG and many others. Export allows for the correction of
square/non-square pixels and frame rate change on export. Users can trim,
crop, edit, or change speed, export digital video clips for use in other
applications, share them with others, or archive them to disk or a media
storage system with ease.
Still Image Export
VFPro 3.0 exports still images to industry standard file types
for printing, archiving, sharing or further processing. These types include
.JPG, .BMP and .TIFF. Original unenhanced raw video images can also be
exported.
Preservation of Original Evidence and
Audit Trail
In VFPro 3.0, no data is ever over-written. Whenever a process
is run on a video or still, another copy is made, and it's easy to select all
related video derived from an original. The program always maintains a
complete record of operations performed on any video or image data. This
audit trail is available to the user whenever you need it.
Printing
Ease of use again in play, VFPro provides a complete, end-to-end solution,
enabling users to print images directly from the system or export them out.
